"Vitarbo grips are available as an alternative to European orthopedic style grips and are much more economical. They can be made for any handgun we sell and most others as well. These grips are made to your hand pattern. Each set of grips is made from Walnut, cut in accordance with current ISSF regulations or to suit the requirements of Bullseye as well as Silhouette target shooting. The Orthopedic design grips made by Arnie Vitarbo aid in maintaining a consistent grip and better control of recoil during Timed and Rapid Fire in Bullseye or ISSF Rapid Fire, Sport and Center Fire Pistol events. Vitarbo Target Grips come in two versions. The first version is stippled in the grasping area and finished with a hand rubbed oil finish. The other version is left unfinished and is intended for those who have the capability and desire to do the final fitting, stippling and finish.
Vitarbo Target Grips come right- and left-handed and cut to the size of the customer's submitted hand print. Although it is impossible to make a truly custom set of grips without the customer actually in the shop for a fitting, we have good success cutting grips very close to the hand print supplied. In addition to trying to fit the shooter's hand, we are able to adjust grip angles within the gun's frame.
Send a Copy of your hand print made on a copy machine. When copying, it is recommended that a white towel be placed over the hand to get better definition. Placing the hand palm side towards the glass, position the hand as shown in the diagram. The copy should show the creases in your hand up to and including the wrist. After Copying, compare the copy to your hand because some copiers may make a larger copy. In addition, please provide the thickness measurements of your hand at the locations indicated on the drawing. Specify make, model and anything unusual about your gun. Occasionally we will need your gun to make a pattern if it is a model we don't have. When ordering, please specify the type of competition for which the gun will be used."
